LONDON (Alliance News) - Walker Greenbank PLC said that it has achieved good sales growth in the first four-and-a-half months of its financial year and remains confident of the outlook for the remainder of the year, ahead of its annual general meeting which will be held later on Wednesday.
The luxury interior furnishings group said that total brand sales are up 8.9% in the period, with UK sales up 8.1% and overseas sales up 10.1%. It said its Anthology brand, which was designed primarily for export markets, has made a significant contribution to our overseas growth.
Meanwhile, revenue in the US grew 27.1% following the extension of its New York showroom last year.
"Our manufacturing operations are performing well, with digital printing continuing to grow rapidly. We remain confident of the outlook for the remainder of the year and beyond," Chairman Terry Stannard said in a statement.
Shares in Walker Greenbank were trading up 4.8% at 209.65 pence Wednesday morning.
