LONDON (Alliance News) - Luxury interior furnishings company Walker Greenbank PLC on Tuesday said it has commissioned a third fast-run digital printer at its fabric printing factory in Lancaster.
In addition, the company has further increased its investment in digital printing by extending its digital print room at the facility in order to accommodate further potential expansion of its digital printing capacity.
Walker Greenbank did not provide any financial details on the investment, but said digital printed fabric manufacturing sales rose 40% to GBP2.4 million in its half-year to the end of July.
"Investment in our fabric printing factory in Lancaster and in our wallpaper printing factory in Loughborough is an important part of Walker Greenbank's growth strategy. We have been particularly pleased with the success of digital fabric printing and by the volume of orders from third parties, some of whom are driven by the desire to onshore their fabric printing," said Walker Greenbank Chief Executive John Sach.
Shares in Walker Greenbank were up 0.9% to 164.50 pence on Tuesday.
