LONDON (Alliance News) - Luxury furnishings firm Walker Greenbank PLC said Monday it appointed former Costa Coffee boss and Whitbread PLC finance head Chris Rogers as its new non-executive director.
Rogers - who served as Costa boss from 2012 to 2016 - also previously served as finance director at Whitbread between 2005 and 2012.
Rogers will replace Non-Executive Director Fiona Goldsmith who said she would not seek re-election to the board in June after 10 years in the role. Rogers will also replace Goldsmith as chair of the audit committee.
"I am delighted to welcome Chris Rogers to Walker Greenbank's board," Walkers Greenbank Chairman Terry Stannard said. "His wide-ranging business capabilities, and his specific experience of the international growth of consumer brands, will be of great value to the company."
"I would also like to thank Fiona Goldsmith for her valuable contribution to the company since joining as a non-executive director in December 2008," Stannard added. "We wish her well for the future."
Shares in Walker Greenbank were 0.4% higher at 117.00 pence on Monday.
