LONDON (Alliance News) - W Resources PLC Thursday said that the drilling of a 1,500 metre core has started at its Tarouca tungsten and tin project north of Lisbon.
In a statement, the tungsten and gold explorer with assets in Spain and Portugal said the first hole of the programme has intersected tungsten mineralisation at 15 metres.
It has high hopes for the programme, which will last for four months.
"The drilling campaign at Tarouca will support the exceptional trenching results announced in 2013 and the assay results will be released in due course," W Resources Chairman Michael Masterman said in a statement.
W Resources shares were up 2.8% at 0.925 pence Thursday morning.
