LONDON (Alliance News) - W Resources PLC on Wednesday said it made record shipments of tungsten concentrate during October and said it is continuing to see improved production from its La Parilla tailings plant in Spain.
The tungsten, copper and gold explorer said it shipped 39 tonnes of tungsten concentrate in October, with revenue from the shipments exceeding EUR470,000.
W Resources also said production rates for the La Parilla tailings plant have continued to improve, with 21 tonnes shipped in September and recovery rates now more than 65%.
In September and October, run-rate production for the La Parrilla plant hit its target level of 25 tonnes per month, or 0.83 tonnes per day, the company said.
W Resources said approval planning is continuing at the La Parrilla mine and said a project definition study is underway. It also said test work is underway on the Régua mining licence in Portugal. It intends to start large-diameter drilling there late this year.
