LONDON (Alliance News) - W Resources PLC on Monday said it has received further strong assay results from the latest phase of drilling at the La Parrilla tungsten mine project in Spain.
The company said the latest drilling show high-grade tungsten intersections at surface, with grades up to 0.32% tungsten.
W Resources said the intersections found in the latest drilling were thick and at a materially higher grade than the rest of the orebody. They also indicate the mineralisation is open to the south east of the project and at drilling depth.
"We are delighted with the latest drilling results at La Parrilla which highlight high grades in the South East of the fast-track mine area as well as at La Parrilla West," said Chairman Michael Masterman.
"The thick, high grade results in the FTM area are at the edge of what was previously considered the southern extent of the orebody - this is now open with significant grade and tonnage potential. These results enable us to better delineate the areas for mine planning next year and are higher than initially expected," he added.
Shares in W Resources were up 3.5% to 0.663 pence on Monday morning.
