LONDON (Alliance News) - Tungsten, copper and gold exploration company W Resources PLC said Tuesday that it has started a new drilling campaign at the Sao Martinho gold project in Portugal to increase the size of the mineral resource.
The reverse drilling programme, which will last five weeks, includes a total of 15 holes and 2,000 metres of drilling.
In June 2016, Golder Associates estimated total gold resource of Sao Martinho at 111,987 ounces.
"Hot on the heels of the completion of the Tarouca tungsten drilling programme we are pleased to have commenced RC drilling at the Sao Martinho gold deposit with the objective to substantially increase the size of the JORC gold resource," Chairman Michael Masterman said.
W Resources shares were down 1.9% at 0.51 pence.
