Vordere Shareholders To Vote On Whether To Oust Chief Executive

19th Sep 2019 16:52

(Alliance News) - Property investor Vordere PLC on Thursday said a resolution to remove its chief executive will be put to shareholders at a general meeting.

On Monday, the company said it received a letter from a shareholder requisitioning a general meeting.

Aside from the resolution which could oust Chief Executive Nicholas Hofgren, shareholders will also vote on the futures of Graeme Johnson and Stuart Cheek, two non-executive directors.

There will also be a vote on whether Vordere should appoint David Irving as a director with immediate effect.

At the company's annual general meeting earlier this month, over 23% of shareholders voted against the re-election of three board members, including Hofgren, Johnson and Nigel Fitzpatrick, another non-executive.

Vordere said it was going to "engage" with shareholders to "understand the reasons for the number of votes against the resolutions".

Shares in Vordere are currently suspended from trading in London. The company requested for its shares to be temporarily suspended from trading on the Main Market in early July so it could accurately assess its financial position.
