(Alliance News) - Cable assembly maker Volex PLC said on Tuesday that Jeffrey Jackson has been appointed as a non-executive director effective immediately.
Jackson was elected during the company's annual general meeting and will offer the firm "valuable operational experience".
Jackson was formerly the global category manager of FTSE 100-listed medical technology company Smith & Nephew PLC and is also the transitions leader at aerospace and defence parts manufacturer Meggitt PLC.
Executive Chair Nat Rothschild said: "I am delighted to welcome Jeffrey to the board of the company and look forward to working with him as we build on Volex's recent success and continue to deliver on our business strategy. He will bring valuable operational experience to the company and additional oversight to the work of the board."
Shares in Volex closed 5.0% higher at 90.60 pence each in London on Tuesday.
