(Alliance News) - Vodafone Group PLC on Thursday said the chief executive officer of its Spanish arm will step down from the role and instead become the business's non-executive chair.
Antonio Coimbra will round off an eight-year stint as Vodafone Spain's CEO on November 1, the same day he takes over as chair.
Colman Deegan, a former chief financial officer of Vodafone India as well as Vodafone Italy, will replace Coimbra.
"In 2016 he became CEO of Vodafone Turkey driving the growth and transformation of the company through digitalisation," Vodafone said.
Vodafone shares were 1.1% higher at 103.84 pence each in London on Thursday morning.
