LONDON (Alliance News) - Telecommunications and mobile giant Vodafone Group PLC on Tuesday said it has appointed former Standard Life PLC head David Nish to its board as a non-executive director.
Nish was the chief executive of Standard Life, the FTSE 100 life insurance and investment management group, until this month and oversaw the company as it increased its market capitalisation to GBP9.3 billion from GBP4.8 billion when he started.
Nish also is the former finance director at ScottishPower, the utility, and is a former partner at Price Waterhouse, the accountancy.
He sits on the board of the UK Green Investment Bank PLC and is a former chairman of the Association of British Insurers.
Vodafone shares were down 0.1% to 206.95 pence on Tuesday.
