LONDON (Alliance News) - Telecommunications group Vodafone Group PLC said Friday it has appointed David Thodey as non-executive director with effect from the company's annual general meeting on July 23, should shareholders approve.
Thodey's most recent executive role was at Australian telecommunication group Telstra Corp Ltd, where he was chief executive officer for six years from 2009 to 2015.
Thodey is currently non-executive director at UK healthcare company Ramsay Health Care Ltd and Australian business bank Tyro Pty.
"On behalf of the board, I would like to warmly welcome David. He has extensive experience and a track record of strong operational performance in both the telecommunications and technology sectors. We look forward to the additional value he will bring to board discussions," said Chair Gerard Kleisterlee.
