LONDON (Alliance News) - Vodafone Group PLC on Friday hired Ernst & Young LLP has its new auditor, having had to part ways with previous partner PricewaterhouseCoopers.
E&Y will take on the role following the auditing by PwC of Vodafone's results for its year ending March 2019.
In December, FTSE 100 telecommunications firm Vodafone said it would have to change auditor after a firm for which PwC acted as administrator mulled legal action against Vodafone.
An undisclosed company, for which "a number of PricewaterhouseCoopers partners are acting as administrators", considered litigation against Vodafone, it said at the time.
The legal action was filed in December and named Vodafone as "one of a number of defendants".
