(Alliance News) - Vistry Group PLC on Monday said it will promote Non-Executive Director Ralph Findlay to chair from the company's annual general meeting on May 18 next year.
He will be replacing Ian Tyler, who is stepping down after more than eight years as chair of the Kent-based house-building company.
Findlay has been part of Vistry's board for six years since 2015. He was chief executive officer of Wolverhampton, England-based pub operator Marston's PLC for 20 years until retiring last month.
Back in September, Dublin-based cider maker C&C Group PLC said Findlay will join its own board in March next year, becoming chair in place of Stewart Gilliland in July. Gilliland is retiring after serving on the C&C board since 2012 and as chair since 2018.
Commented Vistry CEO Greg Fitzgerald: "I very much look forward to continuing to work with Ralph in his new role as chairman of the board. He will provide important continuity for Vistry as we pursue the group's growth strategy and continue the great progress towards our medium term targets in both Housebuilding and Partnerships, with a firm focus on maximising the strengths and opportunities from our unique combination."
Shares in Vistry were up 0.7% at 1,156.50 pence on Monday morning in London.
