LONDON (Alliance News) - Vislink PLC on Thursday said it has signed a deal with GoPro Inc to develop a prototype GoPro HERO4 portable camera with a live, high-definition wireless connection.
Following a testing period, the pair are planning to showcase the prototype at live sporting events this winter, including the Winter X Games 2015 and select AMA Monster Energy Supercross events.
Dependent on a successful testing period, the companies intend to enter into a formal production agreement in the first quarter of this year, Vislink said.
Vislink did not provide any financial details on the deal.
"We are delighted to be partnering with GoPro, a global leader in its field, to develop a unique solution designed specifically for professional broadcasters," said Vislink Chairman John Hawkins.
Shares in Vislink were up 2.2% to 39.60 pence on Thursday.
