LONDON (Alliance News) - VinaCapital Vietnam Opportunity Fund Ltd said Thursday it has reached an agreement with Vietnamese poultry producer Ba Huan JSC to end its investment in the company.
As part of the agreement, all of the capital invested in Ba Huan by VinaCapital will be returned.
In February, VinaCapital invested USD32.5 million in Ba Huan for a "significant" minority stake.
However, due to "different interpretations of key terms" the company concluded it would "not be able to play a constructive role in helping" Ba Huan.
VinaCapital has decided it can better deploy its capital elsewhere.
Shares in VinaCapital Vietnam were up 0.8% Thursday at 322.58 pence each.
