Vikram Bhatia Re-Joins Aston Martin Lagonda As Interim Finance Chief

8th Apr 2020 10:06

(Alliance News) - Aston Martin Lagonda Global Holdings PLC on Wednesday said it has once again appointed Vikram Bhatia as interim chief financial officer.

Shares in Aston Martin were down 12% at 75.00 pence in London in morning trading.

Bhatia, who is not joining the board, is reprising the role, having already served as interim CFO from January to August of 2015 before now outgoing finance chief Mark Wilson joined the company.

Wilson's departure was announced in late February 2020 and will take place by April 30 at the latest. The search for a permanent successor to Wilson is ongoing and updates will be made "as appropriate".

Aston Martin Lagonda said Paul Hancock, the company's current director of finance, has been chosen as deputy CFO.

Chief Executive Andy Palmer said: "I'm pleased to welcome Vikram back to Aston Martin Lagonda as interim chief financial officer at this challenging but critical time for the business. Vikram will work with the strong finance leadership team, ensuring a smooth transition allowing us to provide Aston Martin Lagonda with a sustainable platform for the future."
