VietNam Holding Outperforms Benchmark In 2014

28th Jan 2015 17:56

LONDON (Alliance News) - VietNam Holding Ltd Wednesday said its net asset value outperformed its benchmark in 2014, reporting net asset value per share growth of 18.1%.

VietNam Holding's net asset value performance for 2014 was 18.1%, and 7.2% for the second half of 2014, ending the year at USD2.059 per share. The NAV outperformed the Vietnam Index US dollar- adjusted's 6.6%, and the Vietnam All Share Index USD-adjusted performance of 7.9%.

"For the calendar year 2014, the company's NAV per share and its share price outperformed the US dollar adjusted VNAS Index benchmark, as well as the VNI Index. This was the second year in a row that the company has outperformed its lead index by over 100%," the company said.

The company, which invests in companies in Vietnam, both public and private, said it is confident about the investment prospects for the year ahead after the progress it made in the latter half of 2014.

"With the equity market yet to 'price in' this improvement in the corporate sector's operating environment, we believe a buying opportunity is presenting itself for value investors like VietNam Holding," the company added.

VietNam shares were untraded Wednesday. The stock was last traded at USD1.74.
