LONDON (Alliance News) - Victrex PLC said Tuesday Anita Frew will retire as non-executive Chairman of the firm on September 30, 2014 after serving in the position for the last six years.
Frew will be succeeded as Chairman by Lawrence Pentz, who is currently a non-executive director of the firm.
Frew has served on the Victrex board for 14 years, including her tenure as Chairman.
Victrex said the search for the role of Chairman covered both internal and external candidates and was led by Giles Kerr, the Senior Independent Director.
Pentz was appointed to the Victrex board in 2008 and currently chairs its Risk Committee. Upon his appointment he will also become Chair of the Nominations Committee.
Shares in Victrex were trading 3.83% higher at 1,764.00 pence per share Tuesday morning, one of the biggest risers on the FTSE 250.
