(Alliance News) - Victoria Oil & Gas PLC on Tuesday named Rob Collins as chief financial officer, effective immediately, after joining as a non-executive director in February.
Victoria Oil & Gas is a domestic energy supplier in Africa, working through its subsidiary Gaz du Cameroun SA.
Collins has over 20 years of experience in natural resources corporate finance. Before the appointment, Collins was joint senior partner of Alternative Resource Capital LLP, which he co-founded and for which he will remain an advisor in a non-executive capacity.
Collins has also headed natural resource teams at Zeus Capital Ltd, GMP Securities Europe LLP, Canaccord Genuity Europe Ltd and Evolution Securities Ltd.
Collins will be stepping down from his positions as senior independent director and chair of the audit committee at Victoria Oil & Gas. A new chair will be appointed in due course, the company said.
Victoria Oil & Gas shares were down 1.8% at 3.37 pence each on Tuesday morning in London.
