Victoria Oil & Gas Hires Two New Independent Non-Executives

4th Apr 2019 13:28

LONDON (Alliance News) - Victoria Oil & Gas PLC on Thursday said it has strengthened its board with the appointment of John Knight and John Daniel as independent non-executive directors.

Knight has worked in the global oil & gas industry over the past 35 years, the company said, with half of his career spent at Norwegian energy company Equinor ASA, which was formerly known as Statoil ASA. Since his departure from Equinor, Knight has been a senior partner at HitecVision, an oil & gas private equity fund.

Meanwhile, Daniel also has 35 years of experience in the upstream oil & gas sector, as in 2017 he founded JD Oil & Gas Consultancy Ltd. Prior to this, between 2011 and 2017, Daniel was technical director at Kerogen Capital UK Ltd, a private equity fund, specialising in upstream oil & gas investments.

In addition, Daniel held senior positions in exploration at energy corporation ConocoPhillips, oil & gas firms Lasmo PLC and Ranger Oil PLC.

Victoria Oil & Gas shares were trading 1.2% lower on Thursday at 12.75 pence each.
