LONDON (Alliance News) - Vertu Motors PLC Monday said its has bought a dealership in Sheffield that sells Nissan and Volvo cars for about GBP2.4 million, making it one of the UK's largest Nissan franchises.
In a statement, the car dealership company said it bought the trade and certain assets of the dealership from Harratts of Wakefield Ltd. The assets include a freehold property valued at GBP1.75 million.
The deal means Vertu now has nine Nissan outlets and two Volvo outlets, out of its total of 106 sales and aftersales outlets across the UK.
"The new outlets will complement existing Group businesses in the region in Barnsley, Doncaster and Chesterfield, and brings the number of outlets in Yorkshire to 12," it said.
Vertu Motors shares were up 0.3% at 65.7 pence Monday morning.
