Vertu Motors Buys Leeds Jaguar From Inchcape For GBP650,000

LONDON (Alliance News) - Car dealer Vertu Motors PLC on Tuesday said it agreed to acquire Leeds Jaguar from FTSE 250-listed vehicle distributor Inchcape PLC.

Vertu will acquire the business from Inchcape Retail Ltd for GBP650,000, boosting its Jaguar presence in the north of England. The assets will operate under the Farnell brand, Vertu said.

"We are delighted to be able to announce a further acquisition to augment our Jaguar Land Rover business in the North of England. Leeds Jaguar will complement our award-winning Land Rover operation in Leeds and will strengthen our Farnell brand in the North," said Vertu Chief Executive Robert Forrester.
