(Alliance News) - Cash shell Vertu Capital Ltd on Tuesday said shareholders have rejected the appointment of a former Conservative Member of Parliament as a director.
At Vertu's annual general meeting held on Tuesday, shareholders did not pass a resolution to appoint Mark Simmonds, who was MP for Boston & Skegness between 2001 and 2015.
All other resolutions were passed, Vertu added. Vertu was set up in 2014 to acquire a target company in the financial services sector.
Shares were untraded on Tuesday afternoon in London, last quoted at 0.70 pence each.
