LONDON (Alliance News) - Advanced materials engineering group Versarien PLC said Wednesday it partnered with the UK department for International Trade to promote a campaign encouraging UK companies to sell abroad.
Versarien became an official "Export Champion" for the UK government "Exporting is GREAT" campaign.
The company said the aim of the campaign is to "inspire more UK companies to sell overseas, in line with the UK government's stated policies to encourage exports". As a "champion", Versarien will offer its expertise and advice to support exporters and companies looking to export.
In exchange for its help, Versarien said it will receive continued support from the UK Department for International Trade.
"We look forward to supporting the Exporting is GREAT campaign given our own exporting and overseas expansion strategy, and for the continued support to Versarien from the department," Chief Executive Officer Neill Ricketts said.
Versarien shares were trading down 0.5% at 151.70 pence each at midday Wednesday.
