Versarien Hires Representative In South Korea To Expand Graphene Unit

4th Oct 2018 08:54

LONDON (Alliance News) - Versarien PLC on Thursday said it appointed Rachel Yeong-Mee Kim as its local representative in South Korea.

Yeong-Mee Kim has a background in research, journalism and with governmental and international organisations, including the Korea Advanced Institute of Science & Technology and the United Nations, said Versarien.

The advanced materials company explained that Yeong-Mee Kim's role will be to identify and help progress additional opportunities for Versarien's graphene businesses in South Korea.

"We are delighted that Rachel has joined the Versarien team," said Chief Executive Neill Ricketts.

"We announced our collaboration with Korean-based AXIA Materials in August and having a local presence will be very valuable as we seek to enter into relationships with other Korean companies," added Ricketts.

Shares in Versarien were trading 2.1% lower on Thursday at 172.40 pence each.
