LONDON (Alliance News) - Verona Pharma PLC said Tuesday it has appointed Biresh Roy as its chief financial officer with immediate effect, taking over from part-time financial officer Richard Bungay.
Roy founded investment company Ebury Capital and Growth Solutions in 2012. Prior to this, he acted as chief financial officer for companies including Enigma Diagnostics Ltd, Xytis Pharmaceuticals Ltd, Morphochem AG and Santhera Pharmaceutical Holdings AG.
Roy's "experience will be invaluable as we build the company and seek to develop the full potential of RPL554 in respiratory disease to create significant shareholder value," said Chief Executive Jan-Anders Karlsson in a statement.
Shares in Verona are trading down 8.5% at 1.08 pence Tuesday morning.
