LONDON (Alliance News) - Vast Resources PLC on Thursday said work is progressing at the Pickstone-Peerless gold mine in Zimbabwe.
Vast said the majority of the gold processing equipment has arrived at the mine, with around 80% of installations now complete. Grade control drilling and preparations on the oxide open cast mine are ongoing, with ore stockpiling set to start in June.
The gold processing plant will undergo hot commissioning in July, with the first gold deliveries expected to take place in August.
"We are very pleased with the progress made to date in developing Pickstone-Peerless gold mine and with the build quality of the ore processing plant." said Chief Executive Roy Pitchford.
Shares in Vast Resources were down 7.5% to 0.9711 pence on Thursday.
