LONDON (Alliance News) - Vast Resources PLC on Tuesday named Pierre Joubert, formerly of Macquarie Bank, as its chief financial officer.
The AIM-listed mining company said Joubert spent seven years with Macquarie, mostly with the Macquarie Natural Resources Group in Asia, before becoming self-employed in 2012.
"Mr Joubert has already been working for the company part-time as a consultant and his full-time appointment significantly adds to the strength of the financial team as the company develops its new mines," Vast Resources said.
In addition, the company said it has appointed Graham Briggs as a non-executive director. For eight years, Briggs was the chief executive of Harmony Gold Mining company Ltd, a South African gold producer.
"These appointments add greatly to the company's strengths. Graham's extensive mining experience will add substantial weight to the non-executive Board and Pierre is a valuable addition to the senior executive team
