Vast Resources Appoints Paul Fletcher As Chief Financial Officer

LONDON (Alliance News) - Mining firm Vast Resources PLC on Friday said it has appointed Paul Fletcher as chief financial officer with immediate effect.

He will replacing Carl Kindinger, who is stepping down after three years in the role since 2016.

Fletcher will be joining from US agribusiness Bunge Ltd where he worked for ten years from 2008 to 2018, his most recent five as chief financial officer.

Prior to Bunge, Fletcher was part of Cargill Inc, supplier of food, agricultural, financial and industrial products for 14 years from 1994 to 2008, leaving as energy controller for Asia and Europe.

"I am delighted to welcome Paul to the team, and I am confident that he will prove to be a valuable addition to our senior management group," said Chief Executive Andrew Prelea.

"Paul has demonstrated his expertise in financial reporting and day-to-day financial management but has also shown great skill and ability in furthering high level commercial and corporate objectives and in line with this, I look forward to Paul assuming an important role in advancing the company's strategic financial goals," Prelea added.

Shares in Vast Resources were up 1.2% were up 0.17 pence on Friday.
