(Alliance News) - Valeura Energy Inc on Friday said Chief Operating Officer Lyle Martinson will be retiring due to unforeseen personal reasons and Peter Sider will assume her role.
The natural gas producer said Martinson will work with Sider to ensure a smooth transition of the operations chief role.
Sider is a professional engineer with more than 35 years experience, Valeura said. Most recently, he was country manager for Valeura, based in Ankara, Turkey.
Before joining Valeura, Sider held several senior international operations roles, including vice president of Operations, Engineering & Business Development at Petromanas Energy and vice president of Operations for Vermilion Energy.
"Lyle has been with the company since its founding and we are deeply thankful for his dedicated work in building up Valeura's conventional gas production and the exciting deep exploration and appraisal programme," said Chief Executive & President Sean Guest.
"Peter's direct experience with Valeura's operations in Turkey provides seamless continuity for the business, making him the ideal candidate to take on the role of COO," added Guest.
Valeura shares were untraded in London on Friday, last closing at 145.00 pence each.
