(Alliance News) - Natural gas firm Valeura Energy Inc on Thursday announced the appointment of former Gran Tierra Energy Inc executive Heather Campbell to lead its finance operations.
Campbell has over two decades worth of finance experience in the oil and gas industry, Valeura said. She has been controller at Calgary-based Valeura since 2017.
Before that, she was controller & treasurer at London-listed Gran Tierra, and before that worked in roles at Canada's Encana Corp and Alberta Energy Corp. She replaces outgoing CFO Steve Bjornson.
"Heather Campbell is a natural fit as Valeura's CFO. Over the past couple of years we have come to depend on her professional demeanour and high-calibre guidance on financial matters and I am delighted to welcome her to the executive management team," said Chair Tim Marchant.
Valeura also Wednesday announced the appointment of Tim Chapman as a non-executive director. He has spent 25 years in various investment banking roles at the likes of RBC Capital Markets and JPMorgan Chase & Co.
Valeura shares were 0.7% lower on Wednesday morning in London at a price of 30.80 pence each.
