LONDON (Alliance News) - Utilitywise PLC, the AIM-listed utility cost management consultancy, on Monday said US personal computer maker Dell Inc named the company as a partner.
In a statement, Utilitywise said it is now one of Dell's original equipment manufacturer partners, as part of a "joint strategy" to introduce Internet of Things Building Automation to customers.
"IoT technology is changing the way we live, work and do business. We know the IoT can provide a number of advantages to the energy management industry such as reducing waste, identifying efficiencies and cost savings," Andy Rhodes, executive director, commercial IoT solutions, Dell, said in a statement.
"Dell is excited to be working with Utilitywise, and we believe they have the infrastructure, industry knowledge and market reach to introduce innovative IoT solutions," Rhodes said.
Utilitywise Chief Operating Officer Brin Sheridan said: "Our strategic relationship with Dell puts us at the centre of emerging IoT developments, which will ensure that our customers are amongst the first to benefit from enhanced energy management solutions that save them money and reduce their carbon footprint."
Shares in Utilitywise were up 7.5% at 173.11 pence on early Monday morning.
