LONDON (Alliance News) - URU Metals Ltd said Wednesday it is no longer negotiating terms to acquire any lithium projects.
Back in June the mining company said it was in the final negotiation process of a lithium project acquisition but this is no longer the case. URU Metals is, however, still evaluating a number of lithium projects.
URU Metals was conducting test work to determine if it should use a Rados XRF ore sorter at its Zebediela nickel project in South Africa in order to upgrade the metal content of its samples. These tests ultimately determined that the level of upgrade was not sufficient to justify the use of this type of ore sorter.
The second phase of the company's Zebediela programme is underway with a six-hole diamond exploration drilling campaign and soil geochemistry survey planned.
Shares in URU Metals closed up 7.4% at 0.54 pence on Wednesday.
