12th Mar 2018 12:06

LONDON (Alliance News) - AIM-listed mineral exploration firm URU Metals Ltd said Monday it appointed Kyle Appleby as non-executive director following a resignation as SP Angel Corporate Finance LLP becomes its nominated advisor and joint broker.

Appleby was appointed non-executive with immediate effect. He replaces Non-Executive Director Henry Kloepper who stepped down in order to "pursue other opportunities".

"The board would like to thank Henry for his contribution to the company, and we wish him the best of luck in his future endeavours," URU Chief Executive Officer John Zorbas said.

"We are very pleased to have Mr Appleby join the URU team," Zorbas added. "In addition to his board experience, Mr Appleby has acted as chief financial officer for numerous public companies across many industries. His management, financial and accounting experience will be a valuable asset to the company."

SP Angel was also appointed nominated advisor with immediate effect. SP Angel replaced Northland Capital Partners Ltd and recently insolvent Beaufort Securities Ltd. SP Angel will serve as joint broker alongside SVS Securities PLC.

Shares in URU were 0.6% lower at 0.895 pence on Monday.
