(Alliance News) - URA Holdings PLC on Wednesday named Bonas Group, a diamond and gemstone tender house, as its sales partner for marketing and selling rough emeralds from the Gravelotte Mine in South Africa.
According to the Africa-focused mineral exploration company, Bonas Group will manage the end-to-end sales process, including planning, sorting, valuation, and marketing of the emeralds through their established tender platform.
The group's inaugural sale should take place in the second half of this year, with viewings at Bonas facilities in Bangkok, Thailand.
Further, URA Holdings also said that it has now qualified as a client of DelGatto Diamond Finance Fund, a global finance company.
It explained that this relationship "not only provides financial flexibility" for the sales process, but also "opens future possibilities" for financing from DDFF to support URA's strategic objectives.
"We are excited to partner with Bonas Group and DelGatto Diamond Finance Fund. This collaboration enhances our capability to bring our ethically mined emeralds to market while ensuring transparency and maximizing value for our stakeholders. After a long period of hard groundwork, we are now entering an exciting period for URA and our shareholders," said Chief Executive Officer Bernard Olivier.
Shares in URA Holdings were down 2.4% at 1.61 pence each in London on Wednesday afternoon.
