LONDON (Alliance News) - Advertising and marketing group WPP PLC on Monday said it has made two acquisitions, comprising an Indian analytics firm and a Swiss sports consultancy, with no financial details disclosed.

WPP said its Millward Brown brand, media and communications research unit has acquired India-based Analytics Quotient, which supplies marketing analytics data used in marketing strategies. It was founded in India in 2008 and has offices in London and in the US as well.

It will become part of Millward Brown Analytics, a unit of WPP's Kantar data investment management arm.

WPP also said its Burson-Marsteller PR unit has bought a majority stake in TSE Consulting SA, a Lausanne-based sports consultancy which advises host cities, sports federations and major sports events.

WPP shares were down 0.5% to 1,507.00 pence.
