LONDON (Alliance News) - PeerTV PLC said Friday it is seeing an increasing number of customer enquiries following the deployment of a new assembly line at its Digitek SMY Assemblies Ltd business.
The television-over-the-internet technology and printed circuit board firm said it has seen increased approaches from manufacturers in the military and medical sectors, and that it also has opportunities to generate additional revenues by selling operating time on an hourly basis of its new testing equipment.
Following the introduction of the new line a large manufacturer of military equipment in Israel carried out an audit of Digitek's operations and confirmed it as an approved supplier in April.
The new line allows Digitek to process small components that it could not with the pre-existing equipment, and as a result it expects to start mass production with customers in the Smart Home, Vehicle Security and Home Security sectors. It has received requests for quotations with potential sales value of ILS5 million, which it is confident will lead to significant orders during 2015.
Separately the company issued 29.4 million shares at a price of 0.68 pence per share to Speech Modules Holdings Ltd under a cooperation agreement.
Share in PeerTV are trading up 10% at 0.518 pence Friday morning.
