UPDATE: John Laing Secures Subscriptions For Final 3% Of Rights Issue (ALLISS)

LONDON (Alliance News) - John Laing Group PLC said Monday it has secured subscribers for the remaining 3.6 million shares as part of its rights issue.

The shares have been subscribed to at a price of 251.00 pence each for GBP9.1 million.

Earlier Monday, John Laing said it had received valid acceptances for 97% of the shares part of a GBP210.2 million one-for-three rights issue announced earlier this month, and the remaining 3% have now been secured, meaning neither HSBC Holdings PLC nor Barclays PLC will have to acquire any rights issue shares.

John Laing shares were down 0.6% at midday Monday at 255.20 pence each.
