UPDATE: Eagle Eye Solutions Signs Digital Wallet Pact With Sainsbury's

10th May 2018 13:44

LONDON (Alliance News) - Eagle Eye Solutions Group PLC said Thursday it signed a new contract with Sainsbury's Supermarkets Ltd, part of J Sainsbury PLC, for the Eagle Eye digital wallet.

Shares in Eagle Eye were trading 11% higher at 209.00 pence each.

The technology company, focused on improving businesses' real-time connections with their customers, said the digital wallet will enable the UK supermarket chain to establish personalised rewards for the Nectar trial.

The trial, which went live on April 12 in the Isle of Wight, has proven successful in allowing customers to choose personalised offers to earn on their Nectar points. The trial runs on Eagle Eye digital marketing platform, AIR, using the digital wallet capability.

The new contract between the two companies, that started cooperating in late 2016, is set to expire in 2021.

Eagle Eye said it expects revenue from the contract to move from professional services fees to transactional fees as customers use their personalised offers.

The new contract added to the five-year contract signed with Sainsbury's in June 2015 for omni-channel coupons.
