(Alliance News) - Draper Esprit PLC on Monday said it has raised GBP111 million through its placing and PrimaryBid retail offer, which will give the AIM-listed venture capital firm with additional investment firepower.
Draper Esprit issued 13.3 million shares at a price of 800 pence per share through an oversubscribed placing run by bookrunners Numis and Goodbody.
In addition, UK retail investors subscribed for 603,500 shares via PrimaryBid at the placing price.
The placing price reflects a 4.6% discount to the closing price of 839p on Friday.
Shares in Draper Esprit closed 2.7% at 862.00 pence on Monday in London.
In a separate statement, the company that invests in and develops digital technology businesses said gross portfolio value was GBP984 million as at the end of March, up 14% from GBP703 million the same date the year before.
Net asset value per share increased to 743 pence from 555p year-on-year. During the financial year, Draper Esprit says it invested into nine new companies and 18 existing companies.
Draper Esprit now has 153.0 million shares issued overall.
