LONDON (Alliance News) - Drinks giant Diageo PLC on Monday said it has appointed Kathryn Mikells as its chief financial officer, effective from November 9, 2015.
Mikells will join the FTSE 100-listed company from Xerox Corp, where she has been the chief financial officer since May 2013. She will replace Deidre Mahlan, who is moving to become the president of Diageo's North American business, and will step down when Mikells joins.
Prior to joining Xerox, Mikells was the chief financial officer of United Airlines.
"I am delighted that Kathryn will join our executive team. Diageo is focused on driving performance from our core and on improving productivity to drive out cost to invest in growth. Kathryn has the experience of working with teams to drive disciplined performance management which will contribute to the achievement of our performance ambition," said Chief Executive Ivan Menezes.
Shares in Diageo were up 1.1% to 1,802.685 pence on Monday.
