UPDATE: British American Tobacco sells 9% stake in India's ITC Hotels

British American Tobacco PLC - London-based maker of cigarette and vaping products - Nets INR38.2 billion, about GBP315 million, as it completes block trade of 187.5 million shares in ITC Hotels Ltd through an accelerated bookbuild. The shares sold represent a 9% stake in ITC Hotels. BAT retains a 6.3% stake in ITC Hotels. BAT had said on Thursday that it planned to sell between 7% and its entire 15.3% stake in ITC Hotels. BAT has had that shareholding in ITC Hotels since its demerger from ITC Ltd, a Kolkata-based conglomerate with businesses across India's consumer goods sector. ITC Hotels has been trading as a publicly-listed entity since January this year.
