UPDATE: Aukett Fitzroy Robinson Gives Confident Outlook On New Commissions

25th Mar 2014 14:37

LONDON (Alliance News) - Design services firm Aukett Fitzroy Robinson Group PLC said Tuesday that it continues to win new commissions and it is looking forward to the rest of the financial year with confidence as the economy improves.

In an annual general meeting statement to shareholders, the architectural and interior design company said there is a continuing bias towards the number of commissions being won in the UK regions, supported by the re-emergence of activity in the wider UK property development sector.

The group has offices in Europe, the Middle East and Russia.

The company said that the integration of its newly acquired business Swanke Hayden Connell Europe Ltd, a large firm of architects and interior designers it acquired for GBP1.58 million last December, is proceeding as anticipated. It said it expects property costs savings to be made in due course, although it said the savings will be partially offset in the short term by integration costs.

Aukett Fitzroy Robinson also said that executive Director John Vincent has retired from the board. It said that Vincent will complete his current project work and then retire from the business.

Vincent was managing director of the group's UK business between 2005 and 2012, following the merger between Aukett and Fitzroy Robinson.

The company said it expects to report its interim results for the six months ended March 31 in late June.

Shares in Aukett Fitzroy Robinson were trading at 7.75 pence Tuesday afternoon, up 5.1%.
