LONDON (Alliance News) - Unilever PLC said Thursday that it has agreed a deal to sell its Royal pasta brand in the Philippines to RFM Corp, one of the biggest food and beverage companies in the Philippines, for USD47.8 million.
The consumer goods giants, which owns everything from Dove soap to Ben & Jerry's ice cream, said that the decision to dispose of the Royal brand is in line with its global strategy to focus on its core businesses.
Shares in Unilever were up 0.8% trading at 2,424.36 pence per share Thursday afternoon.
