LONDON (Alliance News) - Anglo-Dutch consumer goods group Unilever PLC on Tuesday said it has struck a deal to sell its Motions, Just for Me, Consort, Groom & Clean and TCB brand in Africa to US-based hair care company Strength of Nature for an undisclosed amount.
All the brands sold are hair care products.
"We remain committed to the ethnic hair care and men's grooming categories. We believe that the Motions, Just for Me, Consort and Groom & Clean brands, and the TCB brand in Africa will be able to realise their full potential with Strength of Nature," said Kees Kruythoff, Unilever North America president.
Unilever shares were down 0.3% to 2,825.00p.
