Unicorn AIM VCT Net Asset Value Lower But Beats Benchmark

29th May 2015 09:55

LONDON (Alliance News) - Unicorn AIM VCT PLC on Friday said its net asset value declined in the first half of its financial year but said it managed to outperform its benchmark over the period.

The fund, which invests in AIM-quoted companies, said its net asset value fell 4.7% to 137 pence at the end of March from 143.7 pence at the end of September. The decline was primarily down to the dividend it paid in September and, after accounting for this, the net asset value per share fell by just 0.5% in the half.

This compares to a 3.9% decline in the FTSE AIM All-Share in the half, as shares small-cap companies in the London struggled.

Shares in Unicorn AIM were untraded Friday, having last traded at 127.00 pence.
