LONDON (Alliance News) - Healthcare company Ultrasis PLC Thursday said it is creating a new joint venture healthcare company with the Cheshire and Wirral Partnership NHS Foundation Trust, which will sell and deliver mental health and wellbeing services across the NHS, Local Authorities and corporate organisations.
The company had previously said it would create the company to tackle the severe shortage of affordable and accessible mental and emotional health care services in the UK. It will be called Ki Group and equally owned by Ultrasis and the NHS Trust.
Ultrasis has a depression and anxiety programme called Beating the Blues.
"The NHS remains a key business opportunity for Beating the Blues to help deliver affordable services and our new company will enable us to align ourselves to the current priorities of the public sector and make use of the strengths that CWP bring to the relationship," said John Smith, chief executive of Ultrasis.
Ultrasis shares were up 8.6% at 1.26 pence Thursday morning, one of the biggest gainers on AIM.
