LONDON (Alliance News) - Ultra Electronics Holdings PLC said Thursday it has won a GBP12.9 million contract with EDF Energy PLC to manufacture and support instrumentation at the its UK nuclear power stations.
Under the contract, the company's Nuclear Control Systems business will manufacture safety-critical instrumentation for the reactors.
The contract is Ultra Electronics' second with EDF for its nuclear power stations. It previously won a GBP16.1 million contract with EDF in June 2013. EDF is part of Electricite de France SA.
"I am pleased to continue supporting EDF Energy in this strategic partnership," said Chief Executive Rakesh Sharma in a statement. "Ultra continues to invest and grow its specialist nuclear capability and it is an example of the resilience provided through Ultra's broad portfolio of specialist capability areas."
Shares in Ultra Electronics were trading down 0.2% at 1,875.00 pence Thursday morning.
