FTSE 100 - WINNERS

Homeserve, up 4.7%. Credit Suisse resumed coverage of the emergency home repairs business with an Outperform rating.

FTSE 100 - LOSERS
----------
AVEVA, down 5.1%. The information technology firm reported a loss for the first half of its financial year, as revenue declined considerably. It posted a pretax loss of GBP24.2 million, swinging from a profit of GBP24.0 million a year before. Revenue declined by 15% year-on-year to GBP332.6 million from GBP391.9 million.

FTSE 250 - WINNERS

TI Fluid Systems, up 7.6%. The automotive fluid storage firm said third-quarter revenue slipped 5.1% year-on-year but "continued to outperform global light vehicle production volumes by 2.2%". TI Fluid noted that first-half revenue tumbled 31%, so the third quarter represented somewhat of a recovery.

Tate & Lyle, up 6.9%. The food firm's revenue slipped 6% to GBP1.39 billion in the first half and pretax profit fell 4% to GBP157 million. The company held its payout at 8.8 pence per share.

Coats Group, down 4.0%. HSBC cut the thread maker to Hold from Buy.

OTHER MAIN MARKET AND AIM - WINNERS

Nostra Terra Oil & Gas, up 20%. The Texas-focused oil & gas exploration and production company said Cypress Minerals received the drilling permit ahead of drilling of the Pine Mills oil field.

PCI-PAL, up 17%. The payments solutions provider said first-quarter revenue rose 44% annually.

OTHER MAIN MARKET AND AIM - LOSERS

N Brown, down 12%. The retailer's revenue fell 18% to GBP356.7 million, and pretax profit dropped by a quarter to GBP14.1 million in the six months ended August 31, a period hit by Covid-19 lockdowns. With more curbs to come in England, N Brown said it will bolster its coffers through a GBP100 million placing and open offer. It also plans to move from the London Main Market to AIM.
